Tooth Caps

One of the methods of doing dental restoration is by the use of dental crowns, also known as dental caps or tooth caps. They cover the tooth by cementing the case to the entire tooth. This restoration is used to rebuild broken or decayed teeth, to strengthen teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. Materials used to make the crowns are porcelain, metal, or a combination of both. The main difference between the functions of porcelain veneers and dental crowns is the extent of a tooth’s surface covered. Dental crown covers the entire tooth, while porcelain veneer only covers the front of the tooth.
